Jailbreak Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc
You can jailbreak or root Sony Ericsson Xperia devices by following below mentioned step wise tutorial. The term jailbreak is used for releasing a device from the manufacturing restrictions. In case of Android devices the alternate term of Rooting is used instead of jailbreak.
You have to note that the rooting your Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc can delete all your data and you may face unexpected errors or your device may be irresponsive.
Warning! This procedure will wipe the /data partition of your Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc.
Step 1: Download the rooting tool i.e -fastboot package from below links:

Step 2: Go to: http://unlockbootloader.sonyericsson.com/instructions
Step 3: At the bottom click ‘Continue’ and enter your IMEI (you can type *#06# on your Xperia to find out IMEI), your name and your email address
Step 4: After submitting the above information you will receive your unique unlock key
Step 5: Extract fastboot.rar and open fastboot folder
Step 6: Press and Hold SHIFT button and right click on the background of the folder
Step 7: Select ‘Open command window here’
Step 8: Connect your phone in fastboot mode (turn phone off, hold menu button and plug in USB Cable)
Step 9: In the cmd windows type in fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce getvar version
Step 10: If a value is returned, it means the phone is correctly connected
Step 11: Type in fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xKEY and replace KEY with the key provided in step 4.
Step 12: You’re device is now be bootloader unlocked
