Previously we have given the Apple TV jailbreak for iOS 5.0 which was a tethered Apple TV jailbreak, the jailbreak below is an untethered jailbreak for second generation Apple TV using Seas0nPass. Only you have to make sure that the Microsoft .Net Framework is installed on your Windows computer before starting this Apple TV jailbreak tutorial.

How To Jailbreak Apple TV 2 G Untethered

1. Download Microsoft.Net Framework and Install.

2. Download Firecore SeasonPass. Extract the zip file and open the Seasonpass application.

3. You will see below screen of Seas0nPass = > Click Create IPSW

4. Seas0nPass will now download the latest Apple TV firmware file AppleTV2.1_5.0.2_9B830_Restore.ipsw.

5. Seas0nPass will create a custom IPSW file for yout Apple TV 2. 

6. After the creation of custom IPSW Seas0nPass will give a message to connect Apple TV to computer using USB and then press and hold MENU and PLAY/PAUSE for 7 seconds in order to put your device in DFU (direct firmware update) mode. Unplug the power cable and connect Apple TV using USB and follow the screen instructions.

7. After the Apple TV has been detected in DFU mode Seas0nPass will automatically upload the files, ask to automatically restore firmware, click Yes to start the restoring process for Apple TV 2 to the new firmware.

8. You can start your Apple TV once the restore process is complete it is now jailbroken.
