Jailbreak 5.1.1 iPhone 4S, iPad 2 and iPad 3 Untethered

You can Jailbreak 5.1.1 Untethered iPhone 4, iPhone 3gs and iPod Touch using the latest release of RedSn0w Untethered jailbreak i.e. RedSn0w 0.9.12b1. The jailbreak steps are very simple as usual, and you only need to put your device in DFU mode when asked and remaining part is automated.

Jailbreak 5.1.1 iPhone 4S, iPad 2 and iPad 3 Untethered

Your device should be updated to ios 5.1.1 before you apply this redsn0w jailbreak. You can download latest IPSW files from here.

Step 1: Download the RedSn0w 0.9.12b1 Untetherd 5.1.1 Jailbreak iphone 4S, ipad 2/3

Jailbreak 5.1.1 iPhone 4S, iPad 2 and iPad 3 Untethered

Step 2: Run the Jailbreak 5.1.1 application RedSn0w

Double click the downloaded file and Extract to your computer preferably on desktop. Open the RedSn0w.exe file to run the jailbreak process. You will see the below screen Click Jailbreak.

Step 3 : Connect your iPhones 4S, iPAd 2 and iPad 3 to your computer and click next

Step 4: The jailbreak will start and you will see different messages on the screen. i.e:

After completion of all steps the 5.1.1 jailbreak will be completed and you will receive a message saying that the jailbreak is complete i.e Success and the progress bar will be finished (see below screen).

Wait for few minutes and let the 5.1.1 jailbreak complete. You device will reboot and now it is untethered jailbroken. The Cydia will be available on your springboard and you can enjoy jailbreak tweaks and apps freely now.
