Few days back pod2g tweeted that he is not working on Apple TV 3 jailbreak due to which ATV owners must be disappointed but there is still hope that the work on ATV 3 jailbreak is going on and we can hope for Apple TV 3 jailbreak. This was reported that James Abeler of Firecore has told that group of hackers are working on a lead that might result in a useable jailbreak for the Apple TV 3.

Based upon the quote below we can say that ATV 3 owners now can have some hope that their Apple TV 3 will be jailbroken soon.

There is a group of very bright and talented individuals working on a lead that could result in a usable jailbreak for the 3rd gen Apple TV. While there is no telling how long this process could take, we remain optimistic that a jailbreak for this device will be available in the future. For the record, no one at FireCore is involved in the jailbreak discovery process.
