A new report from the rumor site MySmartPrice confirms the rumors of the launch of AirPods 2.
It further claims that the AirPods 2, will feature a “new design”, which will be a special coating to enhance the grip, and will also see better bass response.
Other features also include a black color option, and better internals improving sound quality.
New Coating of AirPods 2:
According to the report, the new coating will be similar to the glass found on the back of Google Pixel 3, which means that it will feature a frosted, soft touch feel glass providing a comfortable grip in your ears.

Another rumor also suggests that this coating will be present on the entire case as well, instead of only on the buds of AirPods 2
The price has been mentioned being $199, which is $40 more than the current price, though it could be speculated.
The report also repeats the previous rumors,
which suggested that the 2nd generation AirPods will feature health monitoring abilities such as heart-rate monitoring. It also claims that the battery life will be similar to the current generation model.
Mysmartprice also claims that the 2nd generation AirPower charging pad will be much thicker than initially planned, due to its internal 8-7-7 coil configuration. Apple, however, will apparently “entice” users by providing exclusive features for the charging mat. It’s still unclear what these features might be, but they’ll be held back from release until iOS 13 comes out. The price mentioned in the report is $149, but that might be a guess instead of an official price tag.
A more solid and strong report regarding AirPods 2 is offered by Digitimes, who had reported a month ago that rumors from it’s supply chain sources suggest that Apple will release the new generation AirPods in the first half of this year, repeated their rumors in a seperate report.
Although this all seems to be rumors and unconfirmed reports, it is the beginning of the topic of a 2nd generation of AirPods. Better bass, a black colour option and better grip system due to special coating is all good news! What do you think about these reports and improvements?
